For ladies, it’s better to use your thumb and index finger to hold the teacup, meanwhile hold the bottom of the cup with your middle finger, and the other two fingers inside the palm. This is called ‘three dragons protect the tripod’.
For gentlemen, you may naturally move your thumb and other four fingers together to hold the teacup which is called “the great power is within grasp”.
